Arrived today Sunday near 330 pm. Had to wait in line outside but it was a lovely day. Yes , you have to wear a mask. Yes you have to wait to register. They have limited space inside and can't have too many people in there. The signs at the door are there to help everything run smoothly .
You don't need to bring the entire family so one person can be seen. It's like that everywhere and unfortunately yes our Health Care system is broken. We should possibly still follow COVID RULES. 6FT APART ETC. maybe less people would be sick. The reception was lovely, 2 young ladies who I saw first were very sweet and the DR quick and to the point. He was working efficiently to get as many people seen as possible. Good job ONYX

The receptionist here has worked here for a long time, but she’s extremely rude… She’s condescending in every way possible and extremely unprofessional. One night I had to take my daughter and son there for an appointment that WE BOOKED! They were so busy with patients. They refused to take my son and then continued to talk extremely badly about the doctor (Dr.Kam is the name in particular)with the nurse, in front of all the patients waiting in the office…everyone heard and was looking at each other in shock… However ,id just like to say, Dr. Kam Is a wonderful man Who is quick and effective with his work! The pharmacist here is absolutely brilliant and always gives the most informative advice possible! It’s literally just the receptionist that brings this office down..

The receptionist at Onyx is a Callous, Unkind, Narcissistic, Terrible person. She has ruined this lovely place for so many people. I have never been treated so poorly in my life, and I have CPTSD. This receptionist is a disgrace and should not be allowed to interact with anyone seeking care. It's appalling that Onyx allows someone like her to drive away patients and cause emotional distress. I urge the management to take action and reconsider their receptionist. She wears glasses and has her nails done, very tall and thin, and will interrupt you. This individual is vile and has no place in a healthcare setting. I left the office in tears before I could even be seen, thanks to her horrific behavior, attitude, and blatant disrespect. Talking over people, not giving them a chance to process what they heard and respond.. She needs to be held accountable for the harm she causes to vulnerable individuals seeking help, such as myself, I was there for an appointment that was booked and already filled out to ask for help and guidance for mental health. I left there wanting to go off the bridge down the street.
This receptionist is a liability and a danger to the well-being of patients.
The way you speak and treat people actually has a profound impact on individuals.. especially individuals that are visiting Onyx because they are medical patients, it is inherently already an issue about sensitivity and respect, and onyx caters to a variety of conditions and concerns.
Onyx needs to address this issue internally, and hire tactful professional individuals. This is unnacceptable. This used to be the safest, most caring, respectful clinic in town.
The receptionist's behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional. It is her responsibility to treat patients with respect from the start. You don't need to put on this whole display of compassion, but you can just be neutral and kind... Not berating and undermining people.
Regardless of her own personal issues or what kind of day she is having... does she not remember that she is in a service-oriented profession, and her ego should never interfere with providing quality care to those in need? All you do is check people in and ask them what they're here for and to please take a seat.. But somehow you have trivialized it all, and have made it into this belligerent event. As a true narcissist does.
There are countless individuals who would excel in her role simply by being kind.
It's time to check your attitude at the door and prioritize being a decent person.
Do better.

The woman you have on reception is phenomenallly rude. Very unprofessional attitude. Such a shame as Dr. Kam is great. Once you get past that woman though the experience is great. The way she treats kids is ridiculous. Grow up lady. I mean seriously. Learn how to handle your attitude please. It's embarrassing.

**Avoid this clinic at all costs!**
We visited this clinic today to get our baby checked and encountered the most rude, unprofessional, arrogant, and lack of empathy receptionist we've ever encountered in Canada. As soon as we entered, she began lecturing us about a board at the entrance, despite the place being empty. She then informed us that only one parent was allowed inside, insisting that one of us wait outside. Our baby is very fussy and cannot be handled alone, but she explained this rule with no empathy or understanding. We ended up leaving and driving 40 minutes back home. Save yourself the trip and avoid this clinic if you don't want to experience unprofessional and rude behavior. It's clear from our experience that the reviews about the receptionist are all true!

Horrible clinic. Grumpy and rude Doctor. Asked how he was his answer was “terrible”lol. Not what you want to hear from your caregiver. They never answer the phone or return your call. This is the epitome of a broken healthcare system with caregivers that don’t care. Will not be going back. The clinic at Ottawa and River though, is great !!

I have been to this clinic twice now in 2 weeks, unfortunately my child missed 4 pills from her first prescription due to our puppy and unfortunately opening the pill bottle in the truck resulting in a couple pills getting too wet to consume. First visit was with Dr. Conte - amazing! he rocks!!! 2nd visit was with Dr Natarajan who was also amazing! Both spoke directly to my daughter (17) not me(mom) and gave enough information to allow both her and myself to feel totally in control and fully understanding the situation and diagnosis. Very empowering, very polite, very professional. The clinic itself was clean, receptionist was awesome, wait time was minimal. Recomend to anyone needing a doctor after hours! Will absolutely go back again if needed!
