Great sandy beach, not too far from the airport (10/15 min or so), and during the week, there is barely anyone.

AMAZING!
Walking from there, to Henley Beach, is such a good walk, especially on the sand. Enjoy a coffee, at Henley, and head back. Almost an 8km walk😊

It's definitely one of my favourite beaches in Adelaide. Good sized with plenty of room. Parking close by.
Beautiful flowers, and roses also lavenders. You can appreciate the effort and the scenery of this place, has a forest and wetlands area. It's good to have a stroll and walk around or under the big trees to feel it's cooling effect.

Nature near to the artificial. Surprisingly, it is a different world just in the city. You would be wondering how it is possible. It is all surrounded by the busy streets and concrete, but inside its calm trees and natural vibe. Lots of plants and trees with the labels of their scientific name. Lots of walking area and some cafes inside. Some lakes and places to sit. Great for recharge with nature.

The beach is really good, nice and calm with clear water but there are no public bathrooms or changing rooms so this makes it a bit difficult after swimming..
Such an amazing beach to watch sunset with loved ones.

One of my favourite gardens going walking every day with my friends
One of the best beaches to take dogs. It’s an off-lead beach all year around! Often there’s lots of dogs especially in summer- always friendly and friendly owners. Great area to walk and a variety of scenery (boats, clean beaches, dunes, jetty). Safe area to swim and gentle/ still water most of the year. It’s a must visit in Adelaide especially if you have dogs.

Pretty part of Adelaide along Torrens River with great views of the Popeye as it gives by. Close to Zoo, Botanic Gardens and Adelaide Oval.

Beautiful park with lovely garden. Many flowers so a must visit for flower lovers.
Glenelg North Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline located just a short walk from the bustling town center of Glenelg. From the moment you arrive, you'll be struck by the pristine white sand and crystal-clear water, which make for a truly picturesque setting. The beach itself is well-maintained and spacious, with plenty of room for sunbathing, swimming, and playing beach games. There are also several volleyball nets set up for those who want to get active. The water is relatively calm, making it ideal for swimming or wading in the shallows. One of the highlights of Glenelg North Beach is the Sunset Bar, which offers stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding coastline. The drinks and food are both excellent, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. It's the perfect place to unwind after a long day at the beach. Another great feature of Glenelg North Beach is the nearby jetty, which is a popular spot for fishing and sightseeing. You can take a leisurely stroll along the jetty and take in the views, or cast a line and try your luck at catching some fish. The only downside of Glenelg North Beach is that it can get quite busy, especially on weekends and holidays. However, even when it's crowded, the beach is still a beautiful and enjoyable place to spend time. Overall, I highly recommend Glenelg North Beach for anyone looking for a stunning and accessible beach experience. The views, amenities, and atmosphere are all top-notch, and it's a great place to relax and unwind.

If you are looking for a calm & quiet space/picnic ground right in the middle of the city, next to the Karrawirra Parri / River Torrens, under the shades of massive pine (& other) trees, this is one place to be with your entire family. When you are seated (on your mats and) chilling, ducks will approach you for food (so do not harm them - not quite sure if its ok to feed them or not, but it seems they are quite used to it).

Turf space available for the kids to run around, some areas are steeper so need to be mindful or they could end up having a river bath, just like the ducks ;)

Got a pathway alongside the river for jogging, walking or cycling.

Parking may be challenging. No dedicated slots. If you are lucky you may find street parking along the Victoria Drive.

The Queen is believed by some[who?] to be a caricature of Queen Victoria, with elements of reality that Dodgson felt correctly would make her at once instantly recognizable to parents reading the story to children, and also fantastical enough to make her unrecognizable to children. Some elements of reality in line that would make the Queen of Hearts recognizable as Queen Victoria were the way in which their subjects viewed them as rulers as one Queen was loved while the other was feared. Queen Victoria was loved more by her people in contrast with her consort, Prince Albert, in part because some did not trust him as he wasn't English.[1] The Queen of Hearts was feared by the people of Wonderland and would give the order for execution for even the slightest offense, although her husband would often quietly pardon them. The reference to Queen Victoria is explicit in Jonathan Miller's 1966 television version where she and the King of Hearts are portrayed without any attempt at fantasy, or disguise as to their true natures or personality.

The Queen may also be a reference to Queen Margaret of the House of Lancaster. During the War of the Roses, a red rose was the symbol of the House Lancaster. Their rivals, the House of York, had a white rose for their symbol. The gardeners' painting the white roses red may be a reference to these two houses.
Clean, quiet area. Sparsely populated on a friday afternoon. Dogs permitted on the beach only on lead. Nice walk walk with my puppy. Other dogs well mannered and equally their owners. Everyone respects each other, when out with pets.
Quite peaceful place.
Zip line is avalible.
Not so many games for kids.
Barbecue is avalible.

Small little spot of beach with plenty of rocks. Dogs are welcome. Has water fountain for dogs too. Closest public toilets are 900m away so be aware.
Lovely beach located just north of the Glenelg Marina.

Note when the tide is up you can’t really access all of the beach, the waves go all the way up to the rocks!

A great place to relax. You really wouldn't know you're in the city and surrounded by traffic. 🙂
The staff are great and very helpful.
Latest pics are the tree that got stuck by lightning just down from the North Terrace Gate.

We were attracted to the park because of the lake, but no water can be seen!
It looked like it was more like a lake when there was plenty of rain due to the presence of the storm/drain water outlets into the dried sunken land, supposedly the lake area.
Hopefully, the lake will return to its former glory as a beautiful lake when the raining season comes!
Cute little park with bbq facilities

Big space and carpark. And many activities to do. In the afternoon you will see so many people doing different things. The atmosphere is very family oriented.

Excellent pathways, will kept, plenty of play equipment in designated places. A charming waterfall (dried up now [early February 2022]) half way between High & Apsley Roads ultimately feeding into the big pound at the High Road end.
BUT no toilet. Drinking fountains YES!
There was a wedding there near the little exposed creek before it dried up (about middle January 2023). The metal displays left behind announced the show asking for dogs to be controlled) 🙂

It has a monument/statue in honour of Governor GEORGE FIFE ANGAS.

Well manicured park, full of green trees to give some shade and relax.

Nice to relax, with friendly walking trail along the River Torrens, located near to Adelaide Oval, with plenty of dancing swans to watchover on the river.

Lovely spot for morning walk and jog as well.

With plenty of cherry trees to bloom and well landscape spot with plenty of curated flowers during Spring season.

Good off-lead dog walking area that's connected via green links and paths to other local parks. Not always mowed as frequently as it should be.
Flying fox needs maintenance - feels a bit sluggish / gets stuck in places compared to the similar one at Prendwick park nearby.

Very busy on the weekends parking is a premium, although upgrades have made some difference, very close to shopping centre which is handy
Took the young fellas RC boat for a spin there. Nice little spot. Playground right next to it.
Awesome. Totally shaded naturally by trees. Flying fox and other great rides for kids. And now bbq area with bbqs!

It's a small park where kids can play on the bars and slide. There are wooden seats to relax of an evening in nice weather. It's on an elevation, so the views are good. On all sides there are houses. There is a nice shopping centre not far away.
It is a place I normally go when I do my regular walking. It has walkways around it and the place is rather peaceful.

Just like the Elder Park, Angas Gardens is a lovely place to visit. It has lots of cozy places to relax or sunbath at and amazing views. It is generally a very quiet place to, so it is very pleasant to meditate here too. There are lots of ducks, black swans and other birds if you are interested in them. It is a good place to go with your children too as well.

Great place to stop for a moment whilst walking the dog. Has a water fountain.
We just walked through. Morning time, there is shade to walk by the Riverside. Nice. Fits in very nice within our attempt to explore Adelaide.
From King William road, we walked to Riverbank precinct by the side of casino and Festival centre. Crossed the river by this huge pedestrian bridge to go to the side of Adelaide oval.
Again walked by the side of river to cross under King William road. This is Angus Garden. Continued to walk until we saw University. Crossed river by bridge with plenty of locks towards Uni and walked through uni to reach North Gallery to see Art Gallery first. Then there is museum next door.
Rundell mall is walking distance from here.
