What great park and off lead area for pets. Everyone is very friendly and so chilled with their dogs. No one panics when they see another dog coming in their direction. In the heart of Cheltenham Vic, it's an easy walk to cafes and restaurants, and the train station is right next to the park. You can visit the historic cemetery which borders the park. If your heart desires bring you golf clubs as it is next door to the Gold course. Awesome,so much going for it. Make a day of it!
Great for kids to ride bikes, scooters and skateboards. The playground is getting a little old now.
Bicentennial Park Playground in Chelsea is a fantastic spot for kids of all ages. It's got a whimsical feel, with highlights like the giant Mount Chelsea slides, the fun Smurf village play huts, and a whole variety of climbing and swinging equipment. The play area is fenced in with child-proof gates, giving you peace of mind while the kids explore.

There's also a big draw for older kids and teens right next door: the skate park. If you're planning a family outing, Bicentennial Park offers something for everyone.
Lovely adventure for my tiny 4 legged friends
An awesome and safe beach. Only downside is limited parking, otherwise one of the cleanest beach
Nice spot, tucked away, but parking is limited and it's hard to carry picnic stuff down the stairs if you're planning a picnic. The nature area is lovely though, and the little lake. Access to the river is limited but there are some neat little spots tucked away if you explore a bit
Simple family friendly place. Kids will like the water area while parents having a chat or looking at their phones.

This is one of those best kept secrets - Cheltenham Park has them all - even it’s very own Golf Course !- not to mention more local history and atmosphere which all form the backdrop to a magnificent New Railway Station which stands above the quid-essential Victorian shopping strip - love it x
Lovely little park and nice area to kick a footy or go for a walk. The only turn off is the amount of mosquito's.
Great park, with amenities nearby plus ducks in the pond.
Fantastic safe playground for toddlers right up to adults with great equipment and courts with bike and skateboard ramps and rails also. It's a fun place for everyone. Happy day's 😄
Nice playground.
😊😊
Off leash for dogs. Ovals for sports with the kids, family and friends. BBQ and benches also provided. Public toilets on site too. Would be great for a sunny day out .
Great for little ones

Nice open space for people and dogs. Also a nature area with trees and Birdlife. Lots of facilities, well kept and easy parking access.
Excellent playing equipment with lots of activities for younger and older kids alike.
This was a great hidden away park, it has everything for the kids that love to climb, slide and spin 😀
Nice quiet shady park with a huge spider net to climb .. and some gym equipment
Nice place for fishing, Great parks and spectacular location along the river

Just had a quick amble around section behind train station. Nice walking paths, lots of usual trees, shrubs, bench seating. Next to cemetery. I know Chelt Park is massive but only had 5 mins. Worth visiting.
A very new park with facilities for children of all ages. A climbing frame with a great slope and lots of gym equipment. Close to the beach with a long coastal walkway. Dogs are allowed to enter too. The most surprising thing for me was the swings for younger children with two levels of harnesses. This is something you rarely see in other parks.
Great park , especially for parties and play spaces for wide range of ages. Small exercise area for adults as well. Toilets need improvement. Lots of shaded spaces and seating.
I like it but the disc golf course is more fun if you like it.
Respect! The public toilet is a good spot to stop for your post party pee. There no soap and the space is well lit. A tidy spot.
Nice little playground for kids thats near the shopping centre. Easy access with pram/stroller. Grateful that there is old fashioned bark beneath the play equipment. My daughter took a tumble off the climbing net but came away unscathed... just a little shook up.

This park is a local haven for bird life. Both native and invasive species are found here, including Rainbow Lorikeets and Wattlebirds. There are lots of good private spots to sit and enjoy the sounds and sights, as well as many walking paths that lead to different bush surroundings, making it an interesting place to go for a stroll within walking distance of shops and train station.

The only thing that could be improved is the litter. Some of the more secluded parts of the park seem to be used by groups drinking alcohol and leaving their rubbish behind.
Great nature-based park. Lots of logs and ropes to climb, or make cubby houses etc. Large ropes hanging from trees to swing on. Would recommend enclosed shoes when playing, lots of leaf litter and sticks. Lovely paths all around with views of the river. Nice little lake with ducks and wading birds. Public toilets, picnic tables and a couple of bbqs available, as well as open space to kick around a footy etc. There is also a small semi enclosed playground for little kids. Parking is at the tennis club carpark off McCabe Street.
Queen Elizabeth park is beautiful! It has a great play area with BBQ's and seating, with cover and beautifully maintained greens with a 360 walk path around our river .
Good fun for the kid while the parents take a walk along the river nice well done Queanbeyan photo is of river down stream where the walk gets nicer a little supprised to find what a gem
Good variety of play equipment, with a particularly impressive clay artwork/storybook. Near clean toilets with soap, a water play area (hopefully ready later in the year) and food/coffee is currently a 3-5min walk away at burgled burgers.
First visit to this playground. Abit a travel from our home but it was worth of time and satisfaction. The park has plenty room to go around and do things. BBQ facilities and picnic area, benches and seats, kid playgrounds, toddler friendly activities, adult gyms, and sports area are few to named.
Toilets also there and are clean. They are disabled people friendly.
We spent around an hour and felt exhausted.
Very good and very recommended.
GREAT FAMILY FRIENDLY PARK!

PLAYGROUNDS FOR ALL AGES, INCLUDING SKATE PARK, BASKETBALL COURTS AND OVAL. PICNIC AND BBQ FACILITIES. DRINK FOUNTAINS AND TOILETS. LISTEN OUT FOR MR.WHIPPY ON THE WEEKENDS 👌
Great place for kids, walking the dog or just sit around for a picnic. Beautiful river views and lots of ducks.
Access to toilet isn’t very convenient I think … at least where I sat (near the river view) was a bit of a walk to the toilets.
Does get a bit chilly in the afternoons, bring and outer layer to wear if you’re just sitting around.
It is a great park, I would check some attractions for safety based on your child's capabilities
Good playing equipments. On the shore. Covered with some umbrellas. Partly closed play area. 2 Bbqs available. Shaded benches for food. Shower available for cleaning.
Near carrum train station. Limited car park.
Public toilets available.
Magnificent park for young people who might be interested in the special setup of facilities like rope climbing or other nature based outdoor & adventure play. The public toilet building is just nearby.
Those who like some open ground under some shades of native trees and walkways to stroll along the park and the river with beautiful views, they can also spend some time using the BBQ and children's playground facilities.
The artificial lake with the water flowing from the rocky stream with a small bridge is beautiful with wildlife making good use of it, but the problem of the mosquitoes might have come from the relatively large and not flowing enough areas of the lake.
An awesome beach for the whole family.
The sea is phenomenal!!
The actual playground isn't finished yet, but the surrounding facilities are well placed and easy to access. Close to the water, grass for playing ect and pathways making it easy to walk or ride around.
Great place for young families.

So much wonderful nature to play in! Better than TV that's for sure. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to feel like they are out bush.
Close to transport and pram friendly. Would not recommend bringing children's bikes or scooters as some tracks are too rough.
Dog friendly.
Explorer the very well maintained parklands & enjoy a new Disc Golf course Fun for everyone in the family!! …5⭐️

9 hold disc golf course. Kids play areas, BBQ,s and basketball area. Free to play. Great outing for friends and family.
This area has it all, with some BBQ stations, a decent play area and the beach nearby. A wonderful way to spend the evenings with the kids.
Nice playground with multiple slides and challenging climbing-structure.. close to water, toilets and shops.
Nice park for toddlers and young children to practice climbing various things. Has sheltered picnic tables, bbqs, toilets, bubbler, basketball hoop, (shaded) exercise equipment and lots of prickly stickers. Stay on the sand or wear shoes in the grass, do not recommend putting down a picnic rug or you'll have a mess on the bottom side.
Love this park. My 19 month old had a great time exploring. Bonus that theres a toilet too
Great off the leash dog park good playgrounds for kids and has a toilet and exercise area
Really great nature play area with lots of logs and rope climbs. Rope swings, a small little creek runs thru it, there is heaps of balancing and climbing and tests of skill for your children. The place is enhanced by the adjoining lakes and swan River rolling past. Beautiful walking trails grassed shaded areas. Picnic areas. Park benches and other assorted really nice areas for families.
Great playground by a very child friendly beach. Equipment for mulitiages. Down side is that it's quite icy cold when windy so rug up warm! Beach is shallow for a 100 metres so great for little kids to run and fall over in. Sand is super soft.
Amazing spot by the river filled with adventure ropes swings cubbies. Great place for kids to explore while parents relax.
Lovin this playground. It is fully covered and lots of sections to play with. There's big slide for older kids, small slide for smaller ones, swings, sand pits, and all. You might have to follow your kids around as they move from one part to another as the place is big. There are several toilets and bbq in the area. Lots of shady places too. Great place for picnic
Cleanest water and whitest sand beach. Kids really enjoyed. Only thing we missed was a coffee shop nearby.
