Nice place to visit. You can choose to walk right by the water or up in the trees. Nice lookout points and a couple of rest areas

Went for a winter hike with friends, highly recommend!! Don’t be discouraged if there’s not a lot of experience in hiking as long as proper equipments are prepared. Micro-spikes are A MUST-HAVE!! Extremely slippery and icy during winter times and difficult to walk without crampons.

The view is absolutely amazing and the hike is filled with fun little climbs and views.
I love this park. There are so many trails which you can explore and give you options to choose difficulty levels of hiking. My favorite one is the Vista trail starting near Twyn River Parking lot. It has got some elevation, there are a few points from which you can see the stunning forest growing downhill, and finally can catch the beautiful fall view from the Rouge platform.

This is a stunning view and can be done relatively quickly if you are fit. I loved this hike. You will be climbing up boulders. Have a picnic at the top!

Trail for experienced hikers. Really fun. Go well prepared. No bears were seen in December.
A great trail year round, with excellent views, paths, and places to stop and rest.

Must try trail hike for beginners who want to challenge themselves a short extreme hike. Please do have hiking shoes and stay in group as there are bears and bring energy bars and water
Beautiful prov. Park to view fall colors near Sudbury (only 1h away). but download map because you will lose your Connectivity soon after entering the park.

Popped into Killarney Outfitters because we saw the ice cream sign. They had 8 different flavors of ice cream and 3 options to enjoy your ice cream (waffle cone, regular cone, or cup). We tried the chocolate and french vanilla in a waffle cone and cotton candy and vanilla in a cup. The chocolate ice cream by far was our favorite. It was authentic and delicious! The staff is also super nice.

Watch out for a broken branch that is likely to fall off; it is right above the trail, about 15min walk from the parking lot.
The view from the hill top is definitely stunning. Overall this is a challenging trail -- please do some homework and prepare yourself well enough.

Fun hike! We were nervous based on an article from the parks but one way it took us about an hour. There is lots of variation on the hike with soft wooded areas, uneven rocky paths, and then a moderately steep stone path. It's very fun! Hiking boots recommended as I imagine normal running shoes may not have the best tread for some portions. Finally getting to the top, relaxing and enjoying the view with a little snack is fantastic.

What an amazing day! Killarney Provincial Park as a whole is a stunning area, especially with all of the fall colours right now. The views however from the top of "The Crack" hiking trail, are even better! Despite being quite difficult when climbing up and back down the mountain, the photos I got at the top were absolutely worth it. I would definitely suggest proper hiking shoes and lots of water. Overall this experience was fantastic. We encountered a beautiful display of sunrays peaking through the clouds only amplifying the beauty of the landscape even more. Definitely not something I would personally attempt in the dark. If you're wanting to see the fall colours, enjoy a nice hike, and challenge your abilities, this is definitely the place to go.

Fairly easy hike. We went for the Orchard loop incorporating over half of the Cedar trail.
The initial leg of the trail is fairly easy followed by moderate elevation. Occasional views of the river. The orchard trail winds up on a dirt road adjacent to the railway tracks. If you make it a loop, you walk a quarter of the trail besides the railway tracks.
We went there in the evening, starting out around 5 and completing around 6:10, not many people around.

Did this trail this weekend with two senior parents. They found the uphill challenging (lots of exposed roots and rocks) but enjoyed the views. We took our time and had a couple breaks. Our seniors are still in good health and do not have major mobility issues so they were ok on the trail. Highly recommend walking sticks.

Beautiful nature typical of Killarney.

Rented canoes here through Killarney Provincial Park - the canoes were stored in the provincial park premises, but we just had to drive here to get the keys to unlock the canoe, get paddles, and bail kit. The canoes are good quality and everything went smoothly. The store contains a large variety of camping gear. Note that a lot of it is quite expensive compared to other retailers, but it is good for convenience I suppose. Make sure to try the ice cream as well, it was pretty good!
What a fun spot! They have all your outdoor gear needs. They have a canoe filled with spices you can grab a couple for your paddling trip.

The view on the top would be great at sunny days, with the mountain and Georgian Bay afar. It is marked moderate, while if after the rain some rocks might be quite slippery, suggest to walk the trail with the help of sticks.
Lovely waterfront trail. Some places to stop and enjoy the view. It's a paved path. Parking available near Rouge GO station.

Great spot for kayak and canoe rentals. Tons of gear available to purchase. Ted always come through with advice on routes in the area and helping plan a great trip.
We hiked with a baby, 1 small dog and 3 young children. It was fun and easy.
With a few challenging parts, haha, but the view was worthy. We found caterpillars, worms, frogs, and a salamander, the kids loved it. Just keep your eyes open and move a few logs :)
Went to rent canoes from here for Killarney Provincial Park. Came here for the key and the vests, paddles, etc. The canoes are right at the main beach of George Lake.

The store is full of camping gear and essential groceries. We loved the picnic tables and flowers outside. You may pick from their herbs outside with plastic bags provided. It was very neat.

The lady explained to us how the rental works and was really helpful. Rentals are per calendar day, and we dropped off our gear and key after hours. A man was still there and helped us buy some ice even when the store was already closed. I was truly grateful.

Overall, the rental went smoothly, and they went above and beyond for us, so they deserve 5 stars.

Killarney Outfitters, you made my visit to Killarney 10 times better. Thank you so much!

Nice trail in Pickering. You can find parking even in the weekend. It has a nice beach to hang out or get tanned. It is good for a day picnic as well.
My daughter and two grandsons and myself did a three day two night Philip Edward Island kayaking trip last week. Killarney Mountain Outfitters did a spectacular job outfitting us with everything required and then some. The meals were excellent and the campsite recommended on West Desjardins Bay was spectacular. I highly recommend their services!
Easier and less scenic than other trails in Killarney. Completed it with our two min-goldendoodles, who had no issues with the trail. Starts in the forest for around a kilometre before ascending up the shield to a lookout point. One direction you can see to Georgian Bay and the other gives a view of the La Cloche range. Spent about an hour on the trail.

This is a lovely place for a walk. We took the Vista Trail and came back via the Orchard Trail. There were some great elevated views of the river and it was quite peaceful. It was nice to see that some parts of the trails have been renovated.
Nicest people we met in Killarney. They accomodate your needs and inquiry. The guy who handle the life vest and paddle is very Friendly and so with the lady from Brampton who works there who never left the area since March.

Amazing hiking place. Tried various trails in one day Cedar, Orchard, Vista and Mast loop and our favourite was Orchard Trail. Cedar trail has some very beautiful pockets but some part of route doesn’t feel that exciting. Vista and Mast trail are also beautiful, especially some off route hiking trails and is good for a short walk amongst nature if you live close by. I would definitely visit it again and maybe in another season to get a different hiking experience

Nice breezy day to enjoy the beach, decently packed because it was Victoria Day, but still lots of room to relax and enjoy the weather and scenery.

Lovely yet busy trail in the Rouge Conservation Area near the Zoo. Great for trainspotting.
This is a small trail, but with very picturesque landscapes. The short and easy climb up the mountain is worth the effort because of the beautiful panorama. Shoes are important, as there are a lot of stones, roots and rattlesnakes can be found. Dogs must be on a leash for their own safety.

Love this spot so much. Great views, easily accessible, absolutely my favourite part of visiting the Glenmore Reservoir. If you take the bus, the #20 stops just up the hill in the parking lot behind here.

Enjoyed the trail, it's was marked as difficult, 60% of the trail is pretty much flat with a gradual increase in altitude and the trail gets a bit challenging when you reach the top, at some point you'll need to use all fours 🤚🤚🦶🦶.

The long climb is worth the view, it was breathtaking, you can enjoy 270 view.

Should bring enough water and snacks so you can stay hydrated and have enough energy to complete the trail. Don't forget the bug spray, You'll need it!!

Only one complaint was, people were smoking weed, which was annoying as others hikers were trying to enjoy the pristine view and the air.
Nature as is
This is an excellent, short hike, directly across the road from the entrance of Killarney Provincial Park.
It has some challenging sections for novice hikers but if you make it to the top you are rewarded with views of Georgian Bay on one side and the La Cloche mountains on the other.
Trail is marked well and easy to follow.
There is even an old, rusty random car beside the trail. I wonder what the story is behind that.

Absolutely amazing!! It's a 2 hour moderate hike with some incline. I wouldn't call myself a fitness freak but was able to complete the entire trail feeling good. Hiking poles helped :)

If you are going here for a couple of days, the annual provincial parks pass is a must. A visit to one of the hikes at Killarney costs about $25 and the annual pass gives you access to all Ontario provincial parks for about $110.

The view is absolutely amazing and you find some hidden treasures along the way (see pics). A lot of people go to Algonquin and I have found that to be extremely busy over the years. Killarney is a hidden gem that not a lot of people know. You would not be disappointed !!

Rouge National Urban Park - Orchard Trail and Cedar Trail

This past of the park has the most beautiful views of fall colours. There is a viewing deck where you can look down and see the Rouge River as well as the trees changing colors.

There is a trail going down to the Rouge River.

The trail is a mix of forest and open meadows.

It is busy during the fall with the Park hosting sports and family events.

I went hiking here with a couple of friends! We enjoyed the scenery… it was peaceful and fun. You hear nature mostly. We went hiking for 3 hours just wandering around and having fun. We also sat down and had a picnic near the creek. Love how the place is not as busy as high park since it’s not as popular. Also you see nice people hiking as well mostly elderly just enjoying the nature.

Great east hike, we camp to the campground in the evening and walked around the site and ended up doing the hike too. Bit slippery on the rocks but fine view at the top.

Hiked Orchard and Vista loop. It is about 5km. Looked like it had a light snow yesterday, the scenery was beautiful. It was a Saturday morning, the weather was nice. It was not busy. The walk was pleasant.

My secret hideaway for over 25 yrs. It's not a long trail at water but you can find tons of little spots to just sit and chill. It is off the main trail from either the rockyview hospital side or coming from the Glenmore trail path. Wouldn't recommend for young ones. You can pretty much navigate all the way from Glenmore to heritage park. Again would use your own discrepancy on choosing to go down. There are some paths to follow.

Absolutely gorgeous......it's very well maintained beach for family, friends, couples & children. The beach is clean..
No garbage lying around. It's lovely to see people on their kayaks, paddleboards, lot of cycling enthusiasts & walkers like me. It's a must see 👏

Nice and scenic walk. It goes through some neighborhood which I didn't like. It would have been nice to have a long stretch without going into streets. I prefer the trail in the west direction. Go early morning or evening... bugs and direct sun.
Beautiful place. There's the lake where people can swim or just take a dip. Children play in the sand. Some do sunbathing. I've seen families bring their tents and do some barbecuing here in the summer. Some come to go fishing. Oh yes, there are fish, and I saw someone caught a big one right under the bridge.

There's actually a lot of things you can do in this place especially in the summer.

I come here to pass the time. Take a walk at the waterfront or up the hill overlooking the water. Sometimes I simply sit by the lake and enjoy the scenery. I make sure that i bring my camera though. There's a lot of good scenes to catch on film including several migratory birds that frequently come here.

Nice short trail, features a river and a pond. Will take about 45 min to complete at a moderate pace. May not be suitable for kids as some parts are bumpy and uphill steep. Not a loop so you have to trace your steps back to the parking lot which is big enough but can get filled if you get there late.
